A bit of this, a bit of that and a little bit of the other

It has been a while since I did some purely visual and, my focused upgrade to a SW Crawford on my 150P was a couple of months late for its first light so at 9:30 this evening I mounted the scope on my Alt/Az and honed in on Jupiter.

The view tonight was very pleasing through my basic 10mm eps with the Galileans strung out jewel like around the disc and banding clearly discernible.

I then switched to Saturn but was hindered by a slow moving band of high thin cloud which made it look like I was observing through milk contaminated water so I swung away from Saturn and the cloud and had a few minutes on M31. Not long as the hazcloud kept advancing but long enough to enjoy the views.

I must remember to go back to visual more often.
