QHY 5 connect problem?

Hello,

received my QHY 5 yesterday from Steve.

after trying.

installing drivers from astrosoft.be->plugin for guidemaster->connectig the camera.

it says that he can't connect to the camera...

PHD guiding also can not connect with the cam.

i got Ascom 5a platform running, and the ascom qhy 5 plugin.

but still no connection possible.

when i put the QHY stock drivers on the windows/INF and windows/sys32/drivers map and running HDcap, then i can connect to the qhy5, and i got image on my screen.... help....

i have been out of the office for a while did you get me email address ?

you are installing the wrong base driver

what you need to do is uninstall everything on your pc relating to a qhy5 before you do anything else, go into your directories as well as uninstall programs to do this

then install just the std base driver (send me your email and i will email you the details)

then after this is installed you need to install the guidemaster plug in

the ascom or any other base driver will make it not work with guidemaster

i made the same mistake installing mine in the 1st place )

You also need to copy the cmos.DLL file to any application folder you are using.

ive been speaking to Tom from www.astrosoft.be , he has found out what driver i have to use, and it works perfect, in PHD, QGvideo, and guidemaster !

i will post an message soon about how it was getting working.
