Moonrise from The Village (Patricks, not M Nights)

Mrs Swoop and I spent a couple of nights in Wales this past weekend, the first being in a village room at Portmeirion, the location for the cult TV series The Prisoner.

Being a resident, we were in the village after the day visitors had left, which made for a tranquil evening.

I packed the C6 and AltAz but the building cloud meant I was unable to observe. We did get treated to a beautiful moonrise over the Afon Dwyryd (River Of two Fords) which is the body of water overlooked by the village. When the tide was out, the sandy flats provided the scene for many a chase of Number 6 by the security apperatus of The Village- the Rovers.
