HEQ5 PRO Gear ratios

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to use the OnStep to control my now dead HEQ5-PRO mount, and for that I have to input the gear ratios. The EQMOD website shows it as 705 and 135 teeth on RA, but no info is given for DEC axis. From my last year's Belt mod of the mount, I can assume they are similar, but if someone could help me with the actual numbers, I'd be very grateful.

I have found the data necessary. The numbers are identical for both RA and DEC.

The HEQ5-PRO Details are as Follows:

RA and DEC Main Worm Gear : 135 teeth, 

Motor to Worm screw ratio: 5.2222222222 (recurring).

Total gear ratio 705. (135x5.22222)

Nema 14 HS13 motor (35x35x35mm) 200 steps

64 microsteps

I don't think it was ever produced (I'm not the author of the chart).  I don't think there is any difference between the RA and DEC

As far as I can tell (you may wish to confirm this) the EQ3Pro and the EQM35Pro are the same mount apart from the ability to convert the 35 into a simple RA tracker (i.e. the Dec motor and head are removable - M stands for ‘modular’). If that’s the case, you might find the attached link useful.  See my message dated 11 May 2023.

Thank you, I remember reading that thread back in November when I was rebuilding the mount with thrust bearings. I'm heading there now.
