Beginner Imaging TSA-102?

Recommended Posts

All these beautiful images posted make me want to invest in an EQ6 and a DSO imaging cam of some sort once I know what scope will be my main imaging scope. My question is, would I be getting in deep using my 102 straight away considering what adapters and such cost for this scope or, should I look at an 80mm triplet instead? which will no doubt be easier to balance, accessorize etc.  Something tells me I should definitely not start with my 102, I saw what a reducer costs and just about fell over.

You have a great scope to start imaging with already. No need for reducers.

For many years I imaged with my Tak FS 102 and was very happy with the results. I realise cameras have moved on since those days, but not that much.

Go for it!
