Maxim DL Maxpoint Connection Issue.

Hi all,

earlier tonight i tried testing Maxim's Maxpoint only to find that it refused to see my mount through the Celestron ascom driver.

It let me select the scope through ascom, but MAxpoint just see's it as not being connected.

I know the ascom driver talks to my mount fine, as both Maxim DL itself and Starrynight pro were both happy to use the same driver to talk to the mount.

I tried rebooting my latop to make sure nothing else was using the driver and maxpoint still refused to speak to the mount.

does anyone have any idea's ?

I have no idea what's happened but I can no longer connect MaxPoint to my

AP900GTO mount. Not even a direct connection. The ASCOM driver is present

and shows a connection but not MaxPoint. I've tried Tele API, TheSky

Controlled Telescope and APGTO. I have the TeleAPI.dll installed per ASCOM

Did you remember to connect a control application (e.g. MaxIm DL) to

MaxPoint?

MaxPoint won't connect to the telescope until some software connects to it.

Hi Doug,

I tried running maxpoint whilst Mamim DL and starry night were connected and it wouldn't work with either.

I've email Maxim support but their support is really slow. I'll maybe post on the maxim group and see what people say.
