Quick Q about t-rings

Recommended Posts

hi

a T ring will adapt an slr camera straight to a spotting scope

via the eyepiece to enable zoom.

a T2 adapter is different - its longer & is used on a celestial telescope

as well as a T ring for the same purpose.

i have both for my nikon D80 & D50 for use on my celestron 20x60-80

& my celestron 4se

The original T ring was a fixed adaptor which had various bayonets and an M42 X 0.75 pitch thread it was inflexible in that there was no adjustment, the T2 version has a rotatable inner core (2 piece design) which allows adjustment of the camera angle.
