  3. hi i'm new to scopes & i've just bought a celestron 4se i havent done very much with it so far cos of the weather. the red dot finder seems to have a problem. its only visible when turned on full & the dot doesnt move when the adjusters are turned. can anyone advise please. i bought the scope on monday last & removed the plastic battery protector strip last night. aitch
  4. hi a T ring will adapt an slr camera straight to a spotting scope via the eyepiece to enable zoom. a T2 adapter is different - its longer & is used on a celestial telescope as well as a T ring for the same purpose. i have both for my nikon D80 & D50 for use on my celestron 20x60-80 & my celestron 4se
  5. hi i've just bought a celestron 4se & obviosly played with the controller for several hours using std AA batteries no problems whatsoever & batteries still in use. i have a power supply for starting my model helicopter but so far haven't had to use it does this answer the question? regards big aitch
  6. hi i'm new to telescopes etc but have 35 years in computers i believe your problem could be the rs232 plug to usb adapter very few seem to work & since your laptop probably has an existing rs232 dump the usb converter . it wont speed things up since it still has to go through the comms architexture so why add an adapter best regards big aitch hope this helps
