This is my second attempt at the M31 galaxy tonight, here in North Cornwall, the clouds managed to keep off for half an hour, so my daughter and I went and stargazed and imaged this beauty.  With my canon 450d & Omegon lx2 star tracker I managed to zoom in more to 228mm with my tamron 70-300mm lens, iso 1600 at 5.0 aperture, 20 second exposures.  24 lights, 10 flat, 10 dark and 10 bias, stacked in DSS and tweaked in PS.  I did process one in starnet++ but left  blue splodges there.  I'm well pleased with my second attempt at M31, its never going to win any awards but its definitely better than my first attempt.  I think the blue splodges on the starless image are remnants of the stars, do you think altering the stride value could make it better, if I figure out how to change it, plus I've seen on PS videos that I can superimpose the stars back into the image somehow just at a less intense amount in PS, Clear skies
