Odd light area with solar imaging

Hi guys. I occasionally get this brighter area by a prom. Any ideas what could cause it and how to get rid of it? It's been suggested it could be a result from the Powermate. I've tried various things in PS to try to sort it but don't get a result I'm happy with.surface.tif

I noticed a light pattern recently that I hadnt seen before I added a tilter.  There was light leaking in through the tilter, so I just run tape around the edge and it is ok now.    This may not be your issue, but just another possibility to investigate?
