Sol 26.07.2020 - Last one until autumn

Certainly was no fun under the blistering heat and humidity of Cyprus. Solar imaging is postponed until autumn swings around. It's also the contrast-robbing heat plumes, not just the relentless heat!

Not one of my best attempts, but still, can't be missing sunspots - a rarity during solar minimum.

Lunt LS60SS, ZWO ASI178MM, Firecapture 1,500 frames, AS3! 20% of frames, a sprinkle of IMPPG and a dash of Photoshop!

Pretty good result, well done!

In Oz things can get pretty hot during the day.... after ten years of working with a 80L grey tube on the picnic table to shade the laptop I've gone for semi-remote control.

Extended all the cables (handcontroller, power, focuser, and camera) to allow me to work in the comfort of the local office. Seems to work for me.

That’s quite a single stack etalon you have there Nicos! No wonder you didn’t need the double stack filter. Nice work.
