Relative merits between two camers

Hi all.

I am preparing to take the plunge into the world of AP specific cameras. Budget isn't big so am looking at a OSC unit that will have reasonable results on both planetary/ lunar and DSO. I saw the review in Sky at Night for the Altair Astro GPCAM2 327C and this seems to fit the bill. I have had a look at other cameras and am considering a couple of ZWO offerings- ASI 224MC and ASI 290MC.

In side by side comparison, if all are within budget, which of these is the option most likely to serve me well? I am thicker than a frozen Macdonalds 'milk' shake when it comes to techs so an explanation would help.

Other info- I will be running the camera from an aging Macbook running High Sierra 10.13. something. I know the Altair does'nt have Mac software but it can be cheated using other downloads. It will be mounted to a SW 150P Newt or a Celestron C6 on an HEQ5 PRO.
