AZ-GTi Puck For Saddle

Although using a mini dovetail and a proper saddle fitted to the AZ-GTi stock saddle worked OK I wanted to get rid of the stock saddle completely. ADM does a saddle with puck but not the puck on it’s own so I decided to make my own.

Had an aluminium disc cut to size  by LaserMaster and then proceded to add the necessary holes to the disc. Four countersunk for bolting it to the mount, two threaded holes to bolt the saddle on with and a centre threaded hole so I could fit a nylon spacer to the backside of the puck. This spacer fits into the recess in the mount and being a lot deeper than the little bump on the stock saddle will better support the puck. Then I machined the surfaces of the disc in the lathe to give it a finished appearance.
