StarSense AutoAlign

I have purchased a Celestron StarSense AutoAlign to use with my Celestron Astro F1 telescope. However when I attempt to set up the AutoAlign I get the message "Err Model No. The telescope model is not valid and initialisation cannot proceed. Check connection of the camera and hand control and power cycle telescope". 

I have checked the connections and they seem OK but I do not understand the expression "power cycle telescope".

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can set up this equipment?

Power cycle means turn it off and on again. The usual IT solution 😁

Possibly you need to patch your firmware on the telescope. There is a bug fix note on the Celestrom firmware page:

Did the auto alignment work ? its an expensive addon but i cannot for the life of me get my F1 to align manually
