The scary solar observer!

After work this evening, I sat and enjoyed some white light solar observing. I always use my observing hood as I find it helps me to see more detail. Checking my phone afterwards, I discovered my wife had posted the following on Facebook. On the upside, no one suggested my face being hidden was a good thing 🤣

There's a danger though that it could encourage people to try observing the sun with an unprotected telescope and blind themselves.  I take it you have a light blocker (eg. wedge) inside the rig.

Yep, using a wedge. Someone asked that question on her post so I was able to explain wedge use
