A couple of moon Shots 03/01/09

A couple of shots taken with a Philips SPC900NC on a 2x barlow with a Skymax 127:

They look great - plenty of detail showing through.

The top one is Cyrillus and Theophilus with Madler the little one in the upper right. In the second one the line of craters on the left running top to bottom is Aliacensis, Werner, Blanchinus and La Caille. The two prominent craters on the upper right are Apianus and Playfair (left to right). Great shots!

thanks, lightbucket - I should really get my Philips Moon Map out for better reference :mrgreen: or download Virtual Moon Atlas. I was trying to get better pics of these anyway but the moon was starting to go lower towards the horizon thus making a decent image a bit a difficult.
