Geoptik adapter ZWO to EOS 2" Filter insertion

Anyone found an easy way to put the 2" filter in a Geoptik adapter without touching the glass? The 1.25" filter is easy but I am struggling with the 2".

I couldn't even get it in touching the glass! Every time I tried the threads crossed or it just fell out. I took it back to RVO and they couldn't do it either so I'm afraid I gave up in the end. Hope you have better luck.
