Any idea what this is?

Can anybody help me understand what this data to the left of the histogram could be? I know normally it's darker areas around the edges due to stacking artefacts, but I'm not sure that's the case here as I have cropped the image and it's still there. I have also tried aggressively stretching the image to force it to show if it was the edges, but nothing.

Also, it only appears to be coming from the red channel, not the blue or green.

There still seems to be a slight darker area at the bottom of your image. If you crop it further does it disappear?

Also if you hold down the alt button whilst performing levels, it shows what part of the image it is affecting

Hi sorry, not been on my laptop for a few days.

No I cropped the bottom of the image and it didn't disappear.

I've had exactly the same thing again with the another image I got last night. I even over-cropped it to double check that it wasn't just a bit of the edge that I was missing, and it's still there.

This one is cropped past all the visible mismatched edges...

It's only in the red channel and not in the green or the blue...

Over-cropped by a ridiculous amount and still there...

Can you post the unstretched, stacked image please?
