[CCD Imager]

Wonderful run of clear skies here in the East of the UK, what a week we could have had at Kelling Heath! Here is one I have now completed processing. Taken with an SW Esprit 150 and ASI 183 camera. Around 6 hours of total integration time.

Edit - Just tweaked the colour balance, after a review the next day!

That's a stunning image of M106.  Viewing at 1:1 the detail is fantastic, with the subtle colour in the arms as the icing on the cake.

I like it very much, not overdone but still very fine details. If it was mine, I would keep adding data to it in coming seasons and the perimeter area could be more visible. Also the red jets (?) in this galaxy would be nice to see. But this is still an extraordinary image - congratulations !
