The Sun through the clouds

It’s been very cloudy here most of the day so I used them as a filter for a bit of fun.

Thanks very much. I’d locked the focus the previous night whilst imaging something else so I just put the camera on the baby tak and tried it.  The widefield was just auto focused and hand held with the kit lens.

I also ran HDRMultiscale transform over them so that sharpened them up quite a bit.

Looks very atmospheric with the clouds, although as an imager they are the last thing you want!

Thanks Pete. First one could be mistaken for the moon at a quick glance.

It certainly could, the clouds do have  a "Mare" appearence to them
