NGC1977 re-processed

Following Ron's (barkis) keen 'powers of observation', whereby he correctly noticed that some of the stars in my NGC1977 image had a tendency towards a diamond shape.

Also Rob's (robhodgkinson) diagnosis as the the cause, along with a solution, I now reprocessed the image, as seen below.

No more diamond shaped stars, and I've 'let' a few more of the yellow background stars show through, so all-in-all, a nicer looking image I think.

The moral of the story, don't rush the processing
