Finder Scope Bracket For a DSLR..

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of anyone that makes a finders scope bracket to fit on the hot shoe of a DSLR. Does anyone make such an adapter??

Or has anyone got any suggestions on how to align a DSLR??

Thanks

Greg

Why dont you just mount it ontop of your Ed80 ???

Just align them up in daylight and away you go.

I was on the patio last night just with the Canon and a photo tripod doing some 30 sec widefield stuff..

I wanted to see if I could get an finder for it to make it easier for alignment..

I just wanted to grab a few quick widefield objects before getting the HEQ5 out..

Hi Greg

I made my own from a plastic bracket from a curtain rail of all things. Take a look at the project and equipment pages on my website. It worls for me with my DSLR

Thanks for all of your suggestions..

I found an old flashgun which I used as a donor mount and used the SN10 finder scope and bracket as I use a Baader Skysurfer RDF with it's own universal mount as the SN10 bracket is an odd fitting..

Thanks to Moon Plodger for the flash gun idea. :)
