Thanks to @paulastro for the heads up about tonight's Moon phase, I popped the Vixen out this evening for a little observing between various bathing, storytime and eating duties!

Lovely views, a little wobbly but even so I was able to push the old girl up to x300 at times. Here are a few handheld snaps with the S9. I've not seen Shröter's Valley at this level of illumination before as far as I recall, and I really like it! Great contrast and plenty to enjoy, including some peaks sticking out into the darkness.

Very nice. The seeing was not as steady as previous nights this week but it’s just nice to be out observing so many nights in a row. I too was tempted out by Paul’s post earlier to look at Shröter’s Valley.
