NGC2403

Hi this was taken a couple of night ago.It is the Spiral Galaxy NGC2403 in Camelopardalis.This is nice and high in the sky at the moment,so i thought it would make a good target.

It was taken using my ED80 and WO73  using an Atik 314L+ ccd.

I took 18x600 secs for the Luminance.

12x600 secs in Ha.

9x600 secs in RGB.

Fully calibrated with Darks/Flats and Bias frames.

The Ha was blended into the Red channel using the Lighten blend.

That looks like its sparkling!  Wow.  Very nice--it has a clarity of depth

Great job Mick. As Rodd says, it really sparkles. I think I need to experiment blending Ha with red using lighten mode.

Very nice! A newbie question: when you say 9x600 RGB, does that mean 9x600 for each channel, or 3x600?

I took 9x600 subs for each of the RGB,SO 1.5hrs each.
