Synscan Wifi adapter

Hi All

Firstly, Happy New Year to you all😁

I've recently got a new Synscan Wi-Fi adapter. It connects first time to my tablet and Laptop when in doors, however just stepping outside on to my patio which is just a 10ft distance and nothing will connect.

I'm confused as it creates its own Wi-Fi which is also a very strong signal and I'm not connected to any other Wi-Fi.

I've read numerous threads over and over but it's not that it won't connect its just it won't connect when outside. As soon as I take it inside it connects again.

Makes me think the adapter is temperature sensitive but it's not really that cold yet.

Anyone experienced similar?

It's not trying to connect via your indoor router is it ?

No I don't think so. I've disconnected from other WiFi.

I assume you mean when you move the mount outside too?

Inside the WiFi can bounce around and reach the tablet by multiple paths, outside the signal disperses in all directions, so perhaps not enough reaches the tablet?

My RS232 WiFi adapter only works reliably below 10 feet range.
