Best capture software

Hello all,

I was wondering what capture software you guys use for lunar imaging with the QHY5.

I thought I might give it a go as I don't have a grown up camera yet.

QGVideo is the one for the QHY5 http://www.astrosoft.be/release.asp bottom of the page.

Not tried it yet though.

it takes abit of getting used to ie it's not quite as intuitive as open capture or K3, beware though that the codec wont allow you use the Avistack s/w but it's fine with Registax

I took some avi's last night, settings were 10ms for the delay and 3% gain :shock:

I find it very easy to use, just set the exposure and gain, adjust the sliders on the right for contrast and brightness and away you go.. you can even set how many frames you want it to take each time..
