AP equipment help

Recommended Posts

I want to start doing AP and I need to upgrade my equipment from skywatcher explorer 130mm with eq2 mount  to AP gear. I need a telescope and a new mount.

what I have found is the Sky-Watcher Evostar 72ED DS-Pro OTA and maybe the Sky-Watcher EQ5 PRO Go-To Astronomy Mount with flattner

is this the best equipment for me? I haven't done AP before so this will be my first REAL equipment.

I dont really wanna spend more than this.

so can I buy this mount instead? https://astro.astrosweden.se/sv/articles/1.1265.13069/sky-watcher-skywatcher-eqm-35-pro-synscan-montering

or is the eq5 mount better in the long run?

I live in Sweden so if you know any better websites that is cheaper let me know 😃

I can't really advise on what equipmeny to buy, but this seems a sensible choice.

DO NOT save on the mount, this will be your most important piece of kit - the SkyWatcher HEQ5 PRO (or equivalent) is considered the starting point for astrophotography.

All the best.
:)
