I did a run of 4000 14ms frames and took the best 55%. ASI178MM and Skymax 102. The seeing was poor with Jupiter stretching and twisting like rubber.

I am pleased with the planetary results I am getting. Really thinking of popping a C6 on my AZ-GTi, but I just spent a ton of money on the camera and mount, so I will probably defer that to Mars next year. Not to mention color filters, filter wheel... at least I don't seem to need a barlow...

Good image. Maybe put an alignment point on the moons as well - they seem stretched vertically a bit like this?

Going with shorter exposure might help - somewhere around half of that - 6ms or so.

With planet low and no IR filter I wonder if this is atmospheric dispersion?
