Summer night sky too bright for alignment

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have a 8" SCT with AVX mount.

I live in norway at a lattitude of 60 degrees north. The sun sets but i am in perpetual twighlight.

I want to align my mount but cannot see the stars. I could see jupiter and moons.

Should I just view the planets and sun and forget about alignment until winter when it is minus 20 degrees.

I need alignment for astrophotography.

The darkest the sky gets is nautical twilight which is between 0025 and 0205.

Thanks

Phil
