M81 and Needle with C6 and a Rain Filter

Inherited a C6 from my brother, who got the astro-bug a decade or so ago but didn't like the late nights (? ) .

Knowing it was a decent piece of kit, it rekindled my dormant interest in astronomy and so nowadays I have a soft spot for it, and trundle it out on occaison.

It is a very veratile scope.  Solar, lunar, planetary and yes, a bit of Deep sky.

The M81 image was subject to a passing shower, one of those that didn't show up on the weather radar.   Only a very light speckling on the objective, but alas  it smears out all the point sources.  Oh well,   could have been diffraction spikes  ;)
