First light for duo filter

Yes, I know there is a ton of stuff wrong with this image. Not least of which being the poor focus. I spent simply ages trying to get anywhere near correct focus (which I found to be about 8mm less than without the filter!). Next time I will start closer to that point and so hopefully get focus perfect before I lose patience with it.

Anyway, this is the first-light with my duo filter (only had it since Christmas!) and this is a target I have been determined to "have a go at" for ages and so last night I did. I will definitely be returning to it to do better!

Star71 + duo filter + ASI183MC; 18*300s + master dark; live-stacked in Sharpcap and tweaked with SC's histogram. I did take a flat (at the end of the session!) and so may put it all into DSS & Gimp when I get the time.

Very nice result. I'm not sure about the focus, but the soft stars may very well be the result of poor seeing.

It will be interesting to see how this filter performs on a Ha/Oiii target.

Nice and yes, it will be interesting to follow how this filter performs. You also have some colour blotch it looks like - is that camera cooled or could it be thermal noise.
