Star Adventurer imaging southwards

Recommended Posts

Bear with me because I am pretty much a newbie but have had some success with Orion nebula static photography. So moving on to tracking I have just got my Star Adventurer Pro.

Once  set up with polar alignment the rig will obviously be facing north. As I am in the Northern hemisphere my camera will be facing south for Orion. All of the images on the web and on you tube conveniently show the camera on the L-plate pointing north in the plane of the polar alignment. Of course that is simple as the rig is inclined upwards. I have worked out how to swing it all round south (I think) but does anybody have a pic of the rig as they would set the camera directly on the L-plate shooting south? (Not using ball head)

Thanks, Dave.
