I finally got around to running the SharpCap sensor analysis feature on a couple of cameras (minicam5s and qhy5l-ii mono). It optimises some of the camera settings so should help to get better images. Of course, nothing but clouds (and fog today and tomorrow!) forecast up until at least the 30th. Sigh. I've attached the qhy5l-ii mono to my smc Takumar 200mm f4. That should give a nice fov and a fast response. I've put it on the Star Adventurer to try - a budget AP setup! Also very portable :). If it works well, I might even try carrying it downstairs  :). Just need some clear skies...
