astro mick
Hi. I took this last night before the clouds arrived in the early morning. It was taken with my ED80 @F7.5 and my modded canon 1000D DSLR. It is the sum of 3.5 hrs of imaging time in subs of 450 secs. Camera temp stayed around 12-15 degrees. Calibrated with Darks/Flats and Bias. Their are halo,s around some of the really bright stars. Thanks for looking. Mick.

I have 3.5 hours myself on this same target with my 40d, taken two weeks ago. You’ve picked up nice colour on the dust around Merope. Do you use a FF/FR? 450s is quite long but I guess it depends on what ISO you used?
astro mick
Cheers tooth. Yes i do use a Field Flattener but not reducer.I always image with a DSLR at iso 800. My subs can vary between 250-600 secs. Thanks for the comment as always. Mick.
