A quick hour out last night

I was out last night for an hour or so the seeing was pretty poor but I've got an ED100 on an AZ3 permanently set up by the door for nights when its not worth setting up anything more substantial. Its a slightly wobbly combo (esp. near zenith) but it means I'm getting a lot of use out of a great scope, a lot more than when I had one on a HEQ5.

Due to the condidtions I decided now to try anything too "adventurous" so just did M45, M42 (very poor due to the seeing), the Auriga clusters and a few doubles in Orion, I managed to split Rigel at x37 in a 4" scope despite the poor seeing and low altitude which is a pretty low mag for this double IIRC.

By the time the clouds rolled in around 01:00 I was ready to call it a night anyway.
