sgp mosaic and phd2

hi just wondered when you do a mosaic in phd2 the guiding will stop when it goes to the next frame do you have to manually start phd2 again for each frame thanks

The mosaic frames (created by the framing/mosaic wizard) are created as a series of entries in the target list. If the targets entries are ticked, when the sequence for the first target (mosaic image) is complete SGP will stop PHD2 guiding and slew / centre to the next target and restart phd2 automatically before beginning the sequence for that target (next mosaic image). So you don't have to manually stop / start PHD2.

been using phd2 seperately just found sgp can start phd2 itself

when i used phd2 seperately i had to pick a star to guide on through sgp will i have to do that?

No, PHD2 will automatically choose a suitable star if one hasn't been selected manually.

Personally, I usually do stop and start PHD2 manually if I'm present, as I keep half an eye on the guiding graph just to check it's going OK. If I've gone to bed though I'll let it do it all itself.
