Spacer Placement

Just a bit of advice if i may...

I've got two cameras which i move between the scopes i have.    One camera has a depth of 13mm from the ccd to the face of the camera, the other 6.5... So, to keep the spacing correct for my field flattner, i need to either +/- 6.5mm each time.

Question is, how detremental would it be to place a spacer between the outer face of the filter wheel and the camera, rather than further down the image train - between the flattener and the inner face of the filter wheel?   I am guessing having it between the FW and camera will induce vignetting (cameras are Atik 460ex and ZWO ASI 1600mm Pro using a 5 postion ZWO FW with Baader 1.25 filters) in the image.

Does that sound correct?

You need the filter wheel as close to the camera as possible..so from reducer you have your spacers,then the filterwheel and finally your camera..that's how I do it anyway..
