Tonights go at M31

This is my first go at M31 or anything for that matter since getting my camera back.

Not a brilliant result but its only 1 hours worth of subs with the moon lurking around and a very rushed processing.

If we get any more clear skies ill get some more data to add in to it.

Anyway

6 x 10 min subs

lights, darks, bias etc.

SW 200P, QHY8L, Orion Star shoot guide, PHD, Ezcap, DSS and PS

OK, it's a bit noisy, but more data will sort that out. And the stars in the corners are a bit egg-shaped along a radial axis - I believe that is something that a coma corrector would sort (others will confirm or correct that comment - don't rush out and buy one on my say-so!).

But overall, for a first go, that is not at all bad.

For a first go thats great... keep adding subs and you'll end up with a amazing image.

The moon is a contrast killer so you'll get far more structure in the fainter parts once its gone.
