How will dithering affect target pointing accuracy [beginner]?

They move in different planes, the dec one moves quicker obviously so a bit of trial and error needed to see how much movement is needed to move the image about a dozen pixels using the buttons in ra and the knob in dec  using your lens.

Yes, you just need to figure out how much movement you need.

If you're using a DSLR it helps get rid of the coloured background pattern.

Mate, that video is the reason for me to try dithering.

It helped you to reduce the noise? Or the color mottle?
