QHY163M with HyperStar

Hi Everyone,

 

I was using QHY10 with HyperStar system on my C11, it was working perfectly fine,

When I try on QHY163M, despite that I have turn the focus to max, star is still in donut shape,

Can any one give me suggestions,

Backfocus?

For QHY10 ts 20mm without the Tip/Tilt, and 23mm with the Tip/Tilt adapter fitted.

For QHY163 it seems harder to find.  I did read a thread on CN that said

This would certainly explain the issue.

I'm sure that Starizona could sort you out an adapter.

Hello,

Here is the official manual from QHY for the 163M CCD.. and the BF with the T2 Adapter or M42 is 18mm

Yes you need more back focus by the looks of it...an excellent reason to add a filter draw for that mono sensor.
