A night out with the frac

It's been about 6 months since I had big blue on the moon and it was looking majestic this evening so I had a go at it. I love the Mak but at F10 the frac opens up so many opportunities over F13 if you don't mind a bit of false colour!

First up a dusky shot about 10 minutes after sunset. I've taken liberties with this one. The sky was still blue and I wanted to capture that in a wide image, but I also wanted detail in the moon.

So I captured 6000 frames exposed for detail, stacked 10% in AS!3 then went to town in photoshop.

I masked the moon in a duplicate layer, stretched the original layer to brighten the sky and applied Gaussian blur to remove the noise. Then ran a copy of the original through IMPPG and put that in a luminance layer for sharpness and contrast.

Here it is, more images will follow when they're done.
