Bodes Nebula and Cigar Galaxy

Hello 

This image taken of the Bodes Nebula and the Cigar Galaxy was taken over a few rare clear nights.

I have cropped this one to see some detail

Telescope - 102mm APO ES refractor on a AVX mount

Camera- Canon 450d unmoded iso800 with a Astronomik CLS filter. ISO800

Duration 6.5 hours   - 300s lights., Darks, flats and bias frames also taken

Guided with PHD2 and processed in PS

Of course improvement advice much appreciated

Hi,

That's a really nice image!  

Improving framing will help get more detail; try to get the target(s) as centred as possible.

Thanks for that getting used to backyard EOS. I central that star (in this case Dubhe) in the cross hairs. I the slewed to M81. Yes slightly off center, but this is also exaggerated by cropping in PS.
