Blustery winds and high clouds did hamper efforts. Cant wait for next project M81 and M82 Telescope - 102mm APO ES refractor on a AVX mount Camera- Canon 450d unmoded iso800 with a Astronomik CLS filter. Duration 40 minutes worth of 1 minute light frames. Slightly cropped with Flats, bias, and darks. MikeCM Posted January 18, 2018 Share Posted January 18, 2018 Nice image of the cluster gonzostar. Your stars look egg shaped particularly on the L side of the image. Were you using a focal reducer? If so could be due to the spacing.If not then not sure why The color mottle may be helped by dithering - certainly helps when I use a DSLR Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I agree not the best image now for the excuses This i suppose what happens when you rush the set up. Only a 2 hour window and was very blustery.
