Hey guys ,

here's a couple of single-shot snaps i took with my iPhone just holding the camera to the eye-piece 

It was just a cheap reflector i ordered from eBay & looking forward to taking some more shots when the camera -adapter arrives

Just how do you line up the phone with the eyepiece?

I’ve tried numerous times and get most of the barrel as the picture with a little part of the moon in the background.

 I even tried an adapter off Amazon with same results!

Hi Leo ,

probably be best to ask Stu on technical questions as I'm just a novice getting started  I reckon he could land an -iPhone on the Moon with he's Pics! LOL

Plenty of light hearted advice in this thread. One common mistake is to hold the phone too close to the eyepiece. Pull back a bit an see if that opens up the view.

Thanks, I shall take a look at that thread.

I do fall into the category of holding the phone right up against the eyepiece. I guess that adaptor I bought is no good, it squashes the rubber cups back to get the phone to stick to the adaptor!
