david maitland
Has anyone got any fixes for the worm adjuster set screw, the threaded hole on the housing is knackered. Cheers
RT65CB-SWL
Hi David, Is it still under guarantee/warranty? - then I would contact the dealer/outlet where you purchased it from. If not, can you or have you attempted to remove what is remaining? - if "Yes!" you maybe able to use the existing thread. If you have the tools you could drill it out and re-tap it. If that scares you... then maybe an engineering workshop may help.
tooth_dr
I stripped mine, so I drilled it out slightly and re-threaded it. But there isn’t much spare casting to get it wrong! You can see the larger nut in this picture
