I actually made one of these at the weekend for the ST102! Had my first look at the sun and there was a single spot visible - which was gone the following day. So I was pleased with my bodge job (it's not very pretty - a fair bit of duct tape involved, but it does the job). 

Still have half a sheet of solar film left so might be able to make one for the mak as well. Need to work out how to fashion a solar finder of some sort
