M 16, M 17 and NGC 6604 135mm with 1200D

I almost didn't bother processing this as I only got 3 X 4 minute subs but it came out surprisingly well well for such a short integration time... 70-300L zoom at 135mm, F4, LP filter, tracked on EQ5 Pro, 1200D (modded). I'd like to try again but it has disappeared behind my neighbours house now. Hopefully next year!

It's great what you can get from 12 mins exposures...

I was feeling aggressive so I masked off the DSO's and threw the kitchen sink at the background. Its incredible what you can discover with a DSLR, a lens , a tracking mount and 12 minutes!

I was  amazed how easy M17 is to image with a driven 200mm F5 using a Canon 1100D on prime focus.
