SYNSCAN A GOOD TEST FOR ACURACY DAYTIME

Recommended Posts

A good test for polar alignment acuracy with a permanent set up: Carried out during the day with a solar filter

1   Do a one star alignment. Do not look through the Scope

2 After slewing is finished Press enter. Handset will read successful

3 Go to object list. schroll down to sun. Hit enter to view object.

Scope should slew and the sun should be in the field of view or at least the finder.

A similar technique can be used to locate Jupiter ect during the day.

Any similar ideas always welcome as it's great to learn what others do......................Dave
