Bubble Nebula - Reprocessed with Flats added to the stack

Starting to forget what the sky looks like round here :)

So I had another go at my Bubble data from a while ago and added flat files into the stacking mix.

I am constantly surprised at the amount of faint nebulosity that is recorded by the modded DSLR (350D), and having the flats has enabled a lot more of it to be pulled out.

The original first to compare;

And here is the redux version;

Thanks Kevin. You are right, I DO have a 400D, but I wasn't keen on butchering it as it was brand new, so I bought a refurbed 350D from Ebay for a couple of hundred quid, and took the chance on modding that one.

I'm saving up for a 450D, which should be easier to mod, (no soldering) and easier to focus, but I haven't really seen any decent pics from it yet, modded or otherwise, and I'd like to see that first. After xmas the price should drop again I think.

The 400D has FAR less problems with amp glow.

Cheers
