Atik Titan and 314L

Hi,

I have a colour Titan and a (very recently purchased) Atik 314L in mono. Can anyone recommend what binning works well with these please. I haven't got around to playing with the 314 yet but the Titan seems to suffer a bit with Debayering. 

The scope I use is normally a Meade 5000 80mm apo.

The Titan being a colour ccd cannot capture colour images in binned mode. The 314 mono can be binned. Regards binning, it depends on what telescope / camera permutation you are going to use. Have a look at ccdcalc:

With a Meade 5000 apo and 314L you will be working at 2.77 arcsecs per pixel. That's perfectly OK but if you bin the colour you'll be at 5.54"PP and for me that would be too coarse. I would shoot everything in Bin 1.
